Week Monday

Monday, ughday, first of week
why does it always look bleak
struggle ahead, feeling weak
weekend, fun time we seek

work has piled up, inbox full
head down, horns up like bull
try to push, this door is pull
don't hide, take off the wool

we have a job to accomplish
but we don't have to amish
use tools and tech, astonish
make a friend, an accomplice

work has piled up, inbox full
head down, horns up like bull
try to push, this door is pull
don't hide, take off the wool

do what we set our mind too
don't listen to false, hear true
add strengths, make the crew
grind it down, chew and chew

work has piled up, inbox full
head down, horns up like bull
try to push, this door is pull
don't hide, take off the wool

Monday, newday, first of week
let's go for it, another streak
bolt out bed, energy at peek
Good morning, first to speak

Week Tuesday

Today's tuesday, truth day?
time to choose, 1 of 2 way
tell the truth, what'd you say
or is it dare you want to play

show what we want to show
grow what we want to grow
learn what we want to know
forget what we want to throw

do you believe all the lies
mirrored, can you look at eyes
or is it too scary to realize
the lies are too tightly tied

show what we want to show
grow what we want to grow
learn what we want to know
forget what we want to throw

can today be the day you try
will you allow yourself to cry
maybe, you can get up and fly
tell the truth, cut off that tie

show what we want to show
grow what we want to grow
learn what we want to know
forget what we want to throw

Today's tuesday, truth day?
cast off negative, join and say
tell yourself, not the easy way
maybe hard, were here to stay

Week Wednesday

Wednesday, when is day
wind, whisking me away
time ticks on, do i stay
or do i follow, become a stray

choices come, choices go
which direction will you flow
fight the resistance and grow
safe, stay with what you know

will you look for opportunity
will you join other community
or stay hidden inside of unity
and gain new ideas immunity

world has many philosophies
new concepts and realities
stretch imagination, creativity
yet walls built around cities

Wednesday, winning today
wind, befriending, we play
time ticks on as we go astray
make new friends, say "Hey!"

Week Thursday

Is it thursday or is thirst day
Satisfaction denied, a cursed day
Begging for relief, far from first day
Thursday, useless thrust day

almost there, almost done
weekend in sight, will it come?
inbox is full, outbox has none
conserve energy, don't try to run

Four days in, no end in sight
Headaches swim, restless night
Can you win, the repeating fight
Slowly grin, you can see the light

almost there, almost done
weekend in sight, will it come?
inbox is full, outbox has none
conserve energy, don't try to run

It is thursday, survived the fourth day
Take a treat, make it a diverse day
Found inner strength, almost last day
Thursday, just a couple more thrusts day

Week Friday, fried day

Friday, no wonder they call it fried day
Laying under desk, trying to hide away
Boss searching for someone to stay
Dreaming about weekend to fly astray

Friday, finishing project full of stress
Crunching numbers into their address
Printing files into piles making a mess
Only to find printer jammed in distress

Friday, another problem another issue
Project finished, wait, missing a screw
Last minute changes, what do we do
Backup and change it, allowing an undo.

Friday, finally finished faculty filings
Friday, fried from four full flippings
Friday, friends formed food flings
Friday, frantically finding flowings

Week Saturday, sat down day

Saturday, sat down now it's done day
Saturday, time to rest and maybe play
Saturday, walk the dog, pet cat today
Saturday, shout out to the world Hey!

Look at me, I survived the whole week
Strong as tree, I proved I'm not weak
Finally free, I can climb up any peak
Couch comfy, cutting logs up the creek

Remember the raves, caves, & maze
You used to party hearty for daze
Picking up new friends like strays
Dreaming of those good ole days

An accomplishment is laundry done
Dishwasher full, again program begun
Order in food, uber dash eats door run
Can these endless chores ever be won

Week Sunday funday

Sunday, some way have fun today
Sleep in, showerin, let's begin
Breakfast, steadfast, day passed

Taught her the beat, dance on land

Rafting, rocking, reading resting
Batting, boating, beaching, bedding
Glamping, goating, gstring, getting
Sampling, surfing, swinging, setting

Alcoholic Beach Consuming Drinks
Effervescent Food Glazed Honey
Interesting Juices Kissing Lips
Monstrous Nutrients Over Poured
Quaint Realistic Sugary Treats
Utensils Vexed With Xylitol
Yearning Zinfandel

Awake

Something important is stuck inside
Bubbling upward, but then pushed aside
Many distractions offering their ride
Addictions and vices, slippery slide

Tired and wide awake, two sides of a coin
Carnal urge and sloth, confused groin
Parties and fun, relaxed in sun, lay or join
Flip it, heads or tails, let fate adjoin

Struggling to go back to sleep
To reach a slumber peaceful and deep
To dream of new worlds in which to leap
Rest, recover, repair before dreaded beep

Crushing

All of the weight surrounding, crushing
Heart pounding fast, forever rushing
Annonymous pains, pinching or thrusting
A sense of dread only thing trusting

Is it a panic or a heart attack?
Problems piled up into a stack
One after another, crack and crack
Will this end? Will someone lend a back?

The day goes by and I stiffle but don't cry
Pushing through, I keep trudging by
Ignoring the signs, my body tries
End of day, somehow worse now that I lie

For now the thoughts are uninterupted
Now they can form inside of my head
Will i awake in the morning in my bed
Or will i forever slumber, finally dead

Broken, but okay

Fractures, tears, eventually broken
Heartache, lust, then just stroken
Hit rock bottom, finally awoken
Head in ground, silently hopen

Is this the day, is this the way
Does it even matter what i say
Is this world real, is it just a play
Are we made of flesh or molded clay

We go to work and give our time
To come home then drown in slime
Only the pillows hear our whine
Not everyone can afford the fine

Is this the day, is this the way
Does it even matter what i say
Is this world real, is it just a play
Are we made of flesh or molded clay

Eternally broken, but still I'm here
Chose love again instead of fear
No further down, only up to steer
Finally grounded, time to appear

Is this the day, is this the way
All will hear what I have to say
This world is real, not just a play
My flesh is hardened, I'll be okay
I'll be okay
